Bedworth shares its council with Nuneaton. Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council licenses larger HMOs under the national mandatory scheme and enforces the minimum energy efficiency standard for rented homes, while Warwickshire County Council's Trading Standards service enforces the requirement to hold an EPC when a property is marketed.

Retrofit, grants and renewables in Bedworth

Bedworth's bungalows and post-war semis have large, simple roofs, which suits loft insulation and solar panels alike. Its older terraces and non-traditional houses need a closer look before anything is fitted.

• Warm Homes: Local Grant. Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has been taking expressions of interest from homeowners whose homes are rated D to G.
• Non-traditional houses. External wall insulation on a system-built house has to be designed for that system. A retrofit assessment records the construction, so the designer starts from the right place.
